  • Municipal Building Closed to the Public - All municipal buildings will be closed to the Public until further notice. A secured drop box has been located at the North Entrance to the Main Municipal Building that should be used to drop off or deliver any item. Please make sure it is properly addressed to the person or department to ensure proper delivery. We encourage anyone doing business with the municipality to call or email to discuss alternative ways to handle your issue.. (added 3/23/2020)
  • Governor Orders Statewide Stay at Home - To mitigate the impact of COVID-19 and protect the capacity of New Jersey’s health care system for the state’s most vulnerable, Governor Phil Murphy today signed Executive Order No. 107, directing all residents to stay at home until further notice.The order provides for certain exceptions, such as obtaining essential goods or services, seeking medical attention, visiting family or close friends, reporting to work, or engaging in outdoor activities.   • Deposit Box - As we continue to deal with COVID 19 it has become necessary to minimize potential contact between Municipal employees and visitors to municipal offices by modifying the hours of operation. In an effort to enable individuals to conduct business with the Township, without entering the building, we have situated a deposit box outside the North Entrance. This box can be used by anyone doing business with us, to drop items off that are clearly marked to where they should be delivered. (added 3/20/2020)
  • “Register Ready” New Jersey’s statewide Disability and Access and Functional Need (DAFN) registry. This free, secure, voluntary database allows New Jersey residents with disabilities or access and functional needs, and their families, friends, caregivers and associates, an opportunity to provide  information to emergency response agencies so responders can better plan to serve them in a disaster or other emergency.   • Mercer County has announced that residents can now call 211 for general questions regarding the coronavirus. You can also text your questions to this number. (added 3/18/2020)
  • IMPORTANT MESSAGE REGARDING TRASH COLLECTION - The Township has been advised that the trash company will be picking up trash earlier than normal because of staffing during the coronavirus pandemic. We ask that you please put your trash out the night before, after 5:00 pm, in order to ensure you don't miss the pick-up. Thank you for your cooperation. (added 3/17/2020)

CANCELLATIONS/POSTPONEMENTS
    • MUNICIPAL COURT SUSPENDED - Court is suspended from March 16 through March 27. See Press Release
    • THE SENIOR CENTER IS CLOSED - The Lawrence Senior Center is closed until further notice. The Mercer County Nutrition program has been suspended and lunches will not be available. For additional details on the Lawrence Senior Center use this link.
    • The Hazardous Household Waste collection event scheduled for March 28 has been postponed. For more details aee the attached flyer.
    • ECOLOGICAL FACILITY CLOSED - The ecological facility will be closed the remainder of the week, March 16 through March 20. The Township will monitor the ongoing situation and post updates on this website as to the schedule for next week.
    • THE EASTER EGG HUNT, sponsored by the Lawrence Township Police Department, scheduled for April 4th, has been postponed. No new date has been scheduled at this time.
