Job Description:
Lawrence Township is seeking a community-oriented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated professional to fill the position of full-time Recreation Leader. This position is part of the Lawrence Township Recreation Department team and will help plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate recreation programs and services for residents of all ages. The Recreation Leader will be based out of the Lawrence Township Senior Center, where the Recreation Department offices will be located, and will support a wide range of activities including youth and adult sports, youth and family programs, senior programs, community programs, special events, trips, and other recreation activities. The position will also support day-to-day Senior Center operations and will schedule and drive the senior transportation van as assigned. The Recreation Leader must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team and must be available for extended or irregular hours when programs and special events require evening, weekend, and holiday coverage. A bachelor’s degree in Recreation or a closely related field from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience, is preferred. A valid NJ driver’s license is required.
