Important: The Senior Center van is not ADA-accessible. Riders must be able to enter and exit the vehicle on their own. There is a step up into the van and the driver cannot provide physical assistance.
Riders who use mobility devices or who need physical help to board must use ADA-accessible transportation services. Riders must be able to lift and carry any personal mobility aid and step into the vehicle safely and independently. If a rider cannot do so on their own, ADA transportation is required.

This van service is for seniors who do not require ADA-accessible transportation. Residents who need lift-equipped vehicles, personal boarding assistance, or who cannot manage their own mobility aids must use T.R.A.D.E. or Access Link.
The Senior Center van provides transportation for Senior Center members and Lawrence Township residents aged 60 and older. The primary purpose of this service is transportation to and from the Senior Center for scheduled programs. When availability allows, transportation may also be provided for medical appointments and grocery shopping within Lawrence Township.
• Must be a Lawrence Township resident age 60 or older
• Registration with the Senior Center is required
• Schedule rides at least 48 hours in advance
• Cancel at least 24 hours ahead
• One round trip per day
• Trips must be within Lawrence Township
• Provide doctor’s name, address, and phone number for medical appointments
• Riders must board, exit, and move to their seat independently
• Drivers cannot assist with mobility, lifting, or steadying riders
• Riders must carry any personal belongings and mobility aids without assistance
• Be ready and waiting outside
• Driver waits a maximum of 5 minutes
• Weekly or monthly recurring transportation cannot be scheduled
• Service may be delayed or suspended during poor weather for safety. Decisions are made by Senior Center staff.
• Riders must carry personal bags and items themselves in one trip
• Drivers cannot assist with carrying items
• Seat belts required
• Be respectful to driver and other riders
• No food or beverages except water or medically required drinks
• Driver may refuse service for safety concerns or rule violations
• Food must be secured to prevent spills
• Riders must cancel if sick or unwell
