Fire Marshal

The Township of Lawrence, Office of the Fire Marshal was established in 1987.All fires occurring within the Township of Lawrence resulting in damage to property, death, serious injury or is considered suspicious in nature, is investigated by the Lawrence Township Fire Marshal's Office, interacting with the local Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office and other investigating agencies to ensure a thorough investigation.

Fire Safety Permit Insurance and Inspections

Annual Fire Registrations for Commercial Buildings
 
Annual Inspections of Non-Life Hazard Uses
(except owner-occupied one/two-family dwellings)
Oversees the Smoke Detector/Carbon Monoxide Detector/fire ExtinguisherCompliance for the resale 
of the residential properties performed the township housing inspector.
Fire Lane Enforcement Fire Safety Complaints
Alarm System Registrations Fire Investigations to determine origin and cause.
