The Records Bureau is responsible for maintenance, routing, filing and distribution of all reports for the department.  Hours of operation for the Records Bureau are 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.  Information on how to obtain a report and applicable fees for reports and other documents are listed below.


How to obtain a report:

  1. In-person at the Records Bureau window
  2. By mail
  3. You may send an email to records@lawrencetwp.com with the following information
  • Name and address of applicant
  • Telephone number and email address
  • Date and time of incident
  • Location of incident
  • Report type and report number (if known)
  • There is no fee for this method

How to obtain a Letter of Good Conduct

Effective October 5, 2023, the Records Bureau will no longer provide “Letters of Good Conduct”.  Letters of Good Conduct are typically used for the following:

Good conduct
Personal records
International adoption
Immigration & Naturalization
Visa applications
Foreign Business

In lieu of our previous service, please use the Criminal History Record Information (CHRI) service of the New Jersey State Police for the above listed needs.
